There are two reporting types for metrics in Rekener: Time series and Summary. Time series metrics are indicated throughout the app using the icon. Summary metrics are indicated throughout the app using the icon.
Time Series Metrics
Time series metrics store data over time. When you change a date range on a screen, the data in time series metrics will update according to the date range. Time Series metrics can also be graphed over time.
In the definition of the metric, there is a Time Grouping chosen to determine which field on the source record will be used to choose qualifying records. For instance, the metric " Opportunities Won" has the "Close Date" field from the Opportunity object as its Time Grouping. So, if you look at Opportunities Won for Last Month, it will only show data from opportunities with a close date during last month. Compare that to the metric for " Opportunities Created", which has a Time Grouping of the "Created Date" field. That means that looking at Opportunities Created for Last Month will just show data from Opportunities with a Created Date during the last month.
Time series metrics can also be broken out into periods when viewed in Rekener. By clicking on the clock icon, you can choose to see the data in the metric by day, week, month, quarter, or year. In the example below, the time series metric for Bookings is being broken out by quarter.
Summary Metrics
Summary metrics do not have any time component to them. They store just one value per account. Summary metrics are useful to contain snapshots of data, such as the amount of Active Revenue an account has, or which Industry they are in. Summary metrics cannot be graphed.
