The Rekener Platform allows you to see your accounts as "Rolled-up" accounts, which means you can see each corporate entity as its own account. Rekener also joins objects that are not strictly tied to accounts (such as Leads and Activity from your marketing automation system), to your accounts.
How it works
The Rekener Platform looks at several factors in order to resolve multiple Salesforce accounts into one Rolled-up account. The heart of this process is Account Detection & Resolution, which deduplicates accounts, does Lead to Account Matching, and determines which account to attach data from external systems.
Account Detection & Resolution collects all email addresses, websites, and company names from Leads, Contacts and Accounts. For each associated domain, Rekener will search the Whois database to find out which corporate entity the domain belongs to. Rekener will also auto-run searches in search engines (like Google and Bing) on company names to determine if the company names being returned are consistent with the domain owners.
The platform builds a confidence interval for each account, to determine how much confidence there is that an account is owned by a given corporate entity. If the confidence interval is above the threshold, then that account is deemed to be that corporate entity. This is done for every Salesforce account. Salesforce accounts that share the same corporate entity are combined as the same "Rolled-up" account in Rekener. This same process is used to match leads to accounts, and to match data from other sources, to your Salesforce data.
Users can also manually adjust their "Rolled-up" account structures on the "Account Structure" page under settings. Information on that process can be found here.
Toggling account levels
On most pages within the platform, you may choose whether you want to view your accounts as "Rolled-up" accounts, or if you want to view your normal Salesforce account structure. To toggle back and forth, just use the picklist shown below.
Changing your default
Users may change their default view of accounts on the Settings --> My Settings page. On the My Settings page, you have the option of defaulting to view Rolled Up accounts, or Salesforce accounts.
